Capital Equipment News - November 2010

November 2010

CEN spoke with Marcel de Klerk, Head of Business Bank Products, ABSA and asked him what he sees happening in the capex sector going into the third quarter of 2010 - and it looks pretty good according to him, what with banks loosening their financial grip on the sector.

The third of our quarterly Lifting features gives the reader a little peak behind the scenes by way of available products in this field, as well as an interesting article on SKF's work in the Yantian International Container Terminal (YICT) - in Shenzhen, southern China -one of the biggest single container terminals in the world.

Starting too this issue, we have what we hope will become a regular contribution from Goodyear - Truck Tips - in which readers are offered advice on how to improve their truck operations.

According to word on the street, AARTO [Administrative Adjudication of Road Traffic Offences] is going to kick in next year, with all the associated confusion and anticipated bureaucracy. In this issue Part 2 of this subject tries to take the ambiguity out of the system and outlines some of the more relevant facts - not that you will feel any better, but at least you will be informed!

As per usual, our offering covers news in the equipment section along with product info, who is moving up in the industry and also in this issue we have a Special Feature on Electra Mining 2010.

So, be informed and enjoy the read!
