October 2010
As we slowly move into spring the trucking environment has come alive with launches of new models, innovations and technologies.
This October issue is jam-packed with info on the trucking sector, including coverage on the Road Freight Association's [RFA] Annual Conference - held at the Wild Coast Sun this year. Everyone who was anyone attended including the likes of: MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Hino, Renault, Scania, and UD Trucks. Speakers from all areas of road freight offered advice and information.
Best of all, delegates were offered the opportunity to take the impressive vehicles out on a test drive - so long as you booked, as the queues of enthusiastic trucker-wannabes were long!
In keeping with the trucking focus, at a Scania launch, the press were invited to alley-dock a fully laden Scania truck while experiencing the pleasure of the new OptiCruise technology. Later in the month MAN unveiled its awesome TGS WW and Nissen Diesel officially transformed into UD Trucks as of 9th September 2010.
But it's not all trucking; we cover our regular offering of products, services and equipment as well as this month's Focus on open cast mining equipment.
