The CMI Joint Venture is pressing ahead on the underground civil and allied electro-mechanical infrastructure for Eskom's Ingula Pumped Storage Scheme. The May issue of Construction World features this project and the equipment that is being used extensively to create the labyrinth underground. This scheme was designed to meet South Africa's future peak demand and will provide for a nominal rate generating output of 1 332 MW with an energy storage capacity of 21 000 MWh.

In the Italian university city of Bologna, work on the new headquarters building for the Unifimm insurance group is proceeding at top speed. With around 13 000m2 of useable floor-space on 30 storey levels, the architecturally striking 125 m Torre Unifimm will be a lasting enhancement to this industrial district of Bologna.
The protection screen is fitted with perforated trapeoidal sheeting so that the storeys receive good natural lighting and ventilation.
