In a bid to enhance its automation and process control abilities, ALSTOM Low Voltage equipment has acquired PLC Direct. The latter, renamed ALSTOM Low Voltage joins the group's existing stable that include CHI Control and Meissner. This acquisition has secured sole distribution as well as ""Think&Do"" software for ALSTOM.
Rob Hare, sales director at CHI Control and ALSTOM spokesperson, welcomes the move. ""Previously CHI Control and PLC Direct acted as dual distributors for the PLC product range. Now we can act with a unified front, building the brand as well as its market share in the local market""?
