Electricity + Control - September 2005

September 2005

ABB has launched the world's first multi-level, fuseless, medium voltage ac drive for standard motors up to 6,9 kV. The ACS 5000 drive, rated from 5 to 24 MW, is suitable for standard industrial asynchronous and synchronous motors. The ACS 5000 invertert unit combines several proven ABB technologies that achieve unprecedented levels of efficiency, reliability, performance and size. See page 23.
