Electricity + Control - September 2011

September 2011

Energy efficiency features in all our September articles and in principle, everyone is on the same page in this debate. Our products, planning, systems and people must reflect the commitment to making energy efficiency a most important part of our lives.

The Gautrain, I believe, is the epitome of this commitment... but what happens? "Cable theft cripples the infant high speed train service twice in a fortnight". And this is just the start of it!

Will ‘economic terrorism' deny us the right to clean air, safe and efficient transport and a healthy environment? Unfortunately there is no technology to get us ahead of the criminal to pre-empt the crime.

Does this mean that there's the will...
But there is no way?
