“We’re particularly excited by our development in Harare,” commented Andrew McLachlan, senior vice president, business development, Africa & Indian Ocean. “It fits right into our strategy to enter new African countries by operating properties in the main cities and business hubs. In addition, the location is truly world-class. We look forward to introducing our brand new BluPrint interior design scheme, adding something really special to the African hospitality scape.

Farai Jere, managing director of Stream Walk said “Stream Walk is equally excited with partnering the elite Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group. This is the manifestation of a dream which started in 2010. We thank the regulatory and the responsible authorities for facilitating the project, and the investors for supporting this initiative.  The fulfilment of our dream would not have come better than partnering a big brand like the Radisson Blu. Ourtask is now to achieve financial close to enable construction work to commence by March 2017 and complete on time”.

The Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, which operates 1 400 hotels in more than 115 countries, has established Africa as its key global investment region, due to the continent’s long term economic growth potential, which is forecasted to be amongst the highest in the world.
