November 2013 the leading flooring manufacturer expanded its existing sales branch in Cape Town by opening a warehouse and distribution facility. In May this year the success that this development led to meant that Flowcrete South Africa outgrew its original site in the city and had to move to a new location double the size of the previous one.

Staying within the same industrial park, but now situated at Unit 6 & 7, 55 Manhattan Street, Boquinar Industrial Park, Cape Town, Flowcrete South Africa has enhanced its capacity to supply commercial and industrial construction projects in the area with high quality resin flooring materials from a central and convenient location.

Larger facility for flowcrete

The new warehouse facility can hold 170 pallets as opposed to 85 in the old warehouse. This increase in stock holding capabilities makes delivering products to construction sites a quicker and more streamlined process.

Five people are currently employed at the new facility, which also has a much larger office space and includes a training room where Flowcrete’s approved applicators can receive new product training and refresher courses.

Flowcrete South Africa’s managing director, Craig Blitenthall, said: “Moving our Cape Town operation to a larger site marks a significant step in our capacity to supply more high performance resin flooring materials to developments in the region faster and more effectively than ever before!

“Over the last few years we’ve got to know what are the more popular products being used in Cape Town, and are therefore keeping more of these items in stock to meet client’s needs while minimising delivery delays.”

Some of the products that Flowcrete South Africa has found to be most popular in the Cape Town area include several systems from its HACCP International certified Flowfresh range, the hardy industrial epoxies Flowcoat SF41 and Flowshield SL as well as cementitious based concrete repair products such as Conrep SF65.

This investment exemplifies Flowcrete South Africa’s commitment to the growing Western Cape region and highlights its capacity to provide the area’s high value infrastructure, industrial and commercial developments with flooring solutions tailored to each project’s unique challenges.
