Building professionals from all sectors of the industry are being invited to this year’s Readymix Conference by Sarma where they will gain access to information on the latest construction projects, as well as information on building products and new concrete manufacturing innovations.

Readymix conference 2016Sarma general manager, Johan van Wyk, says the Readymix Conference by Sarma will appeal to a wide audience of construction professionals.

Topics of discussion will be centred on improving the outlook for the construction industry and will include important talks on the post-election outlook for the economy, new specifications for the design and use of concrete, as well as opportunities to use Eskom generated fly ash in the manufacture of concrete products, among others

Readymix industry professionals will also have insightful talks on readymix concrete in the manufacture of concrete products, structures and infrastructure. They will also be supported by speakers from the cement, chemical and other suppliers of products and raw materials to the concrete industry.

“This year we have placed a special emphasis on inviting all construction and building industry decision makers to the conference in order to find ways of improving the industry and utilising concrete to the benefit of all in the industry.

“We will also look at case-studies where Sarma members are involved in supplying concrete for large projects and look at unique ways in which they are assisting engineers, architects and contractors to realise their ambitious objectives in these projects,” says Southern Africa Readymix Association general manager, Johan van Wyk.

Opportunities to get involved and show support for the industry do exist and delegate bookings are currently being made on a first-come-first-served basis. The conference and exhibition will be held at the Misty Hills Conference and Exhibition Centre in Mulderdrift on 26-26 August 2016.
