This issue of Lighting in Design deals with two very different and interesting projects. The first looks at the recently completed Turffontein revamp. One of only a few horseracing venues in Africa to offer night racing, this lighting project had to cater for horse and rider safety, and for the specific requirements of television cameras.
The second project represents Standard Bank Eastgate’s new look, which is geared towards encouraging a general migration to self service. Lighting is an integral part of the design.
