ABB's leading position in the world drives market is a result of its always coming up with the latest technology that is of the highest quality and reliability.
ABB's range of variable AC drives covers the motor power range from 0,12kW to 27MW using standard product designs. The range is comprised of four main drive types.
The Comp-AC type covers the low power end spectrum, namely 0,12kW to 37kW, and is suitable for all fan and pump type applications amongst others.
The second main drive type, capable of providing the required response for virtually all types of applications, is the ACS 600 with its unique DTC technology. The power range for this type spans from 1,1kW to 4500kW across the low voltage spectrum.
The other two drive groups, ACS 1000 and ACS 6000, extend the concepts developed in the ACS 600 range into the medium and higher power spectrum. Here the motors may be of the squirrel cage induction machine or the synchronous machine design.
