Virtual prototyping using Autodesk Inventor Series software, has slashed two-thirds off the development time of a major project for Johannesburg-based manufacturer, Pan Mixers.

The company, which manufactures brickmaking equipment, has concluded a development project which would typically have taken two to three years, in only 12 months. Virtual proto-typing also eliminated all the costs associated with conventional prototying.
