Wadeville-based Eickhoff (Pty) Ltd is one of four manufacturers in the world capable of the precision needed to manufacture gearboxes for the wind turbine generators currently appearing around the world. With the company's recently acquired state-of-the-art Hofler gear grinding machines, grinding times on lage gears have been cut from 40 hours to 10 with a quadruple increase in capacity.
