August 2008

July 2008 saw the delivery of SEW-Eurodrive's first IGX universal gear unit into South Africa. The long-awaited arrival of the X-Series was celebrated at the company's offices in Aeroton, south of Johannesburg. The unit arrived completely assembled from the company's head office in Bruchsal, Germany, where the series is currently being manufactured. It is the first of 18 X-Series industrial gear units, which are arriving in South Africa for a local project.
