Tectra Automation has expanded its Bosch Rexroth product range with the 2-start FED-E-B double-threaded flanged single nut, which enables machine tool manufacturers to considerably improve the load capacity of ball screw assemblies while maintaining identical dimensions.

The newly introduced 2-start FED-E-B double-threaded flanged single nut from Bosch Rexroth improves the load capacity of ball screw assemblies.
The new nut achieves static and dynamic capacities of up to 292 000 N and 104 600 N respectively, with screw diameters of 40 to 63 mm. An additional circulation of balls doubles the ball count and thus increases the load capacity as compared to the standard version. This high performance nut, in conjunction with multithread precision screws with pitches of 20, 25 and 40 mm, reaches travel speeds of up to 150 m/min. The rotation-symmetric design allows both the screw and the nut to be driven. Bosch Rexroth provides the ready-to-install ball screw assemblies cut to size with machined ends.
The simpler process of rolling, not grinding, the multithread screws in tolerance classes T5 and T7 ensures the precision required for series production.
The new 2-start FED-E-B flanged single nut comes with standard play, reduced backlash, and two and three percent pre-load for high-positioning accuracy and repeatable precision of the ball screw assemblies.
