Solar Energy Africa

Solar Energy Africa will be held from 19 - 21 September 2011 at the Sandton Convention Centre, South Africa.

The shortage of skilled personnel is a major barrier to the distribution of renewable-energy technologies in Africa. The importance of improving this situation will be highlighted at the inaugural Solar Energy Africa 2011. This conference will address African challenges around solar energy and connect prospects for a sustainable solar energy provision in Africa.

Solar Energy Africa will showcase updates on solar energy technologies from international and local industry leaders and offer insight into the latest developments in the solar market. The event will provide information on the financial mechanisms necessary to bring solar projects to the market and the availability of funding for the implementation of solar projects. Solar Energy Africa will explore ways of creating an investment friendly atmosphere for solar projects in Africa and establish a platform where the carbon implications are addressed and a futuristic approach to Africa's cities is SMARTLY tackled.
