Construction World's Best Projects - celebrating its 10th year - this year attracted 70 entries, the most yet. "The awards have now grown to be representative of the South African construction industry as it recognises excellence in civil engineering, building, specialist contractors/suppliers and professional services (consulting engineering and architecture), and as such is the only award in the local construction industry of which the entries are representative of the construction industry as a whole," says Wilhelm du Plessis, the magazine's editor.
The ‘AfriSam innovation award for sustainable construction' is attracting an increasing number of entrants and is indicative of how construction is increasingly cognisant of people, the planet and profit.
This year's awards function will be held on 16 November at the Royal Johannesburg & Kensington Golf Club in Gauteng.
