The Department of Transport has finally committed themselves to a moratorium on High Cube containers.

The moratorium is in the form of a blanket exemption to all operators carrying ISO containers that will have an effect on the overall height of the vehicle exceeding 4.3 metres. This exemption is until 01 January 2019 as detailed in the attachedgovernment gazette.

The RFA will continue in its efforts to have the regulation changed for a permanent allowance of this height.
