- Multotec has received an order for the supply of high-grade spirals for Kenmare Resources' Moma mineral sands mine expansion project, in northern Mozambique. The scope of the order includes the supply of 13 banks of eight triple-start spirals, complete with compound polypropylene launders. The spirals to be supplied to the Moma project are conventional small diameter spirals with sliding splitters which will allow for higher masses of concentrate to be diverted to the gulley. In turn, this spiral has a larger gulley capacity to handle the high-grade feeds.
- Requiring an integrated safety solution that seamlessly connects information and devices and offers visualisation and increased reliability capabilities in the body shop at its manufacturing plant, Kia Motor Slovakia (KMS), part of the Korean Kia Motors Company, turned to Rockwell Automation, a global leader in industrial automation. The solution offered enables KMS to quickly identify and solve failures, which has dramatically increased productivity and reduced up to 70% of its safety breakdown time.
- SKF's Speedi-Sleeve solution has been introduced to provide the fast and effective refinishing of seal-worn shafts, eliminating the need to dismantle the machinery in which they are used, and without the need for costly regrinding. The device is simply pushed into position over the worn shaft to provide a brand new sealing surface, significantly reducing both maintenance costs and expensive plant downtime. Furthermore, the shaft requires no preparation or pre-treatment, making installation fast and straightforward; the only tools needed are a mallet, a pair of pliers and the fitting tool supplied with the sleeve.
