SKF has announced that within the recently released ‘Asset Reliability Software & Services Worldwide Outlook', the ARC Advisory Group has named SKF the leading global supplier for this growing market for the base year 2010.
"SKF has made significant investment over the past years building up our capabilities in Asset Management Services that help our clients to optimise their maintenance practices and reduce costs," says Vartan Vartanian, president SKF Service Division. "We are able to consistently deliver these services through common global processes and are happy to be recognized by ARC for our activity in this area."
The study identified the following factors of SKF's success:
- a complete range of strategic and tactical asset management services;
- proactive acquisition of companies with complementary solutions;
- a combination of consulting, technology, maintenance programs and plant asset management services; and
- global reach critical to local service delivery.
"SKF has been able to leverage brand recognition, expertise in rotating equipment and global reach to be the leading provider [of reliability-related services] in nearly every industry," says Paula Hollywood, senior analyst for the ARC Advisory Group. "As such, SKF held the leading position in seven of the 11 industries examined in the study: food and beverage, mining and metals, oil and gas, pharmaceutical and biotech, pulp and paper, refining, and water and wastewater industries."
