The use of Silicon Avalanche Suppressor Diodes for surge protection on mains lines represents a major advance on any other technology. Transtector has been in the forefront of this technology, applied to mains line surge suppression, for thirty years - faster acting, lower clamping voltage and indefinite life.
These characteristics mean that Avalanche Diodes not only offer improved protection from damage due to surges, but also minimise or elmininate 'glitches' or malfunctions where no physical damage is caused.
