H8S - performance goes portable
Based on the success, and as a result of Hitachi's policy of listening to our customer's needs, our engineers developed H8S, the next generation of 16-bit microcontrollers.
This new family offers: market leading 16-bit performance at up to 20 native MIPS, resulting in 6 MIPS Dhrystone v2.1. It also offers lower power consumption available with values as low as 4 mA possible, which can be further reduced by dynamically turning off unused modules and by means of additional low power modes. It then also offers a very high level of memory and peripheral integration ideal for cost-effective single-chip solutions, where previously multi-chip solutions were necessary.
