EPCOS AG, a manufacturer of passive electronic components, headquatered in Munich, is market leader in Europe, and number two worldwide. EPCOS has design, manufacturing and marketing facilities in Europe, the Americas and Asia. EPCOS manufactures a vast range of passive electronic components, comprised of over 40 000 products, the extent of which is unique on the market. It can thus offer its customers products and solutions from a single source, including SAW components, capacitors, ceramic components or ferrites.
ELECTROCOMP, a local broadline stocking distributor has, up until now, been supplying the EPCOS range of components through a sub-distributor agreement with SIEMENS South Africa components division. From 1st October ELECTROCOMP has been appointed as the official sales office and sole distributor for the EPCOS range for Southern Africa and the surronding regions. For more information see page 9.
