Last week, in an online virtual ceremony of the Africa and Arabia chapter of the International Property Awards, Waterfall Management Company and Attacq were honoured with no less than three ‘Best in South Africa 2021-2022’ accolades for the Waterfall development.
Besides waterfall.co.za being named the Best Developer Website in South Africa, the iconic Mall of Africa in Waterfall City was awarded the Best Retail Architecture in South Africa accolade, while the equally impressive African headquarters of Deloitte, also in Waterfall City, was honoured as the Best Office Development in South Africa. At the same time, Balwin Properties won the Best Leisure Development in South Africa 2021-2022 award for their Munyaka residential lifestyle development in Waterfall, designed by LYT Architects.
All four of these proud winners have been automatically entered into the overall international awards, culminating in announcements of the Best in Africa and finally World’s Best winners at a virtual Grand Finale event in January next year.
The International Property Awards are now in their 28th year and cover over 45 different residential and commercial categories, celebrating the very best projects and professionals in the property industry across Africa, Arabia, Asia Pacific, Canada, Central and South America, the Caribbean, Europe, USA and the UK.
Judged by an independent panel of over 80 industry experts, chaired by Lord Caithness, Lord Best and Lord Waverley – members of the House of Lords in the UK Parliament – the Africa and Arabia Property Awards are the largest, most prestigious, and widely recognised awards programme throughout these regions. Judging focuses on design, quality, service, innovation, originality and commitment to sustainability.
