HPE Africa has added Hyundai HX220HD crawler excavators to its line-up of earthmoving equipment. The excavators, manufactured in India as an extension of Hyundai’s global expansion programme, offer the same quality and performance as the Korean-manufactured HX220S series, and both units run on the same engine, pump, MCV and motor.

“Customers are impressed with the performance of the 5.68 m heavy-duty boom and 2.40 m heavy-duty arm of these machines, as well as the new variable power control for precise operation and swing control. Additional new design features for superior performance include the reinforced bucket and bucket linkage, the strong and stable lower frame and a single-layer cooling system. The reinforced idler covers increase durability, while the new design of the cab mounting system reduces shock and vibration,” adds Collard.
The Hyundai HX220HD features a wide cab with reduced noise for operators, superb visibility and intelligent display, easy-to-use controls and convenient operation.
The excavators can travel swiftly at 5.7 km/h and have an operating weight of 21.4 t, a bucket capacity between 0.9 m³ and 1.2 m³ and a digging depth of 6,730 mm.
HX220HD crawler excavators can perform in many applications, including construction, digging trenches, holes or foundations, road works, materials handling and laying pipes, moving earth, demolition, or dredging.
