A fleet of robust Bheka forklifts has been successfully delivered to Focal Point in eMalahleni by Shumani Industrial Equipment. Focal Point is contracted to supply long-term material handling solutions to Samancor in Witbank. The delivery represents a significant milestone for Shumani, underscoring its expanding footprint in the steel and heavy industrial sectors.
The collaboration between Shumani and Focal Point has played a pivotal role in enabling this deployment. Initially providing short-term rental solutions, Shumani has since transitioned to supplying Focal Point with long-term rental equipment tailored for Samancor’s operational demands.
According to Shumani MD Victor Nemukula, the decision to deploy Bheka forklifts to this site was driven by the equipment’s proven suitability for South Africa’s demanding working environments. “The Bheka forklift is a practical, durable machine that thrives in tough local conditions. It is competitively priced and has been very well received in the South African market.”
Completed earlier this year, the delivery included a mix of three- and four-ton forklifts. These machines are specifically designed for the high-intensity conditions of steel production, where reliability and strength are non-negotiable.
“We have provided high-quality equipment at an affordable price. What truly sets Shumani apart is our commitment to aftersales support. It is not just about price, it is about the ongoing service and reliability that our customers count on,” adds Nemukula.
To ensure smooth integration, Shumani has also conducted operator familiarisation training and remains on hand to provide any additional technical support needed to maximise uptime and operational efficiency.
This delivery aligns with Shumani’s broader vision of supporting South Africa’s heavy industries with locally relevant, high-performance solutions. The company sees the steel sector as a key area for long-term growth.
“The steel industry has long been a cornerstone of the South African economy. Shumani is committed to supporting its future with innovative, locally suited equipment and services,” stresses Nemukula. Looking ahead, Shumani remains open to exploring further opportunities to supply Bheka equipment to other Samancor sites and similar industrial facilities across the country.
With over a decade of experience in delivering cutting-edge material handling solutions, Shumani continues to position itself as a reliable, customer-focused provider that understands the urgency of uptime and the cost of unreliable service.
“Shumani is proud to be a trusted partner to some of South Africa’s leading logistics, beverage, and industrial companies. Our customers turn to us because they know we deliver both high-quality equipment and the technical support that keeps operations running smoothly,” concludes Nemukula.
As the handover in Witbank marks a new chapter in Shumani’s industrial service journey, the company reiterates its commitment to quality, dependability, and tailored service excellence across South Africa’s industrial landscape.
