In July this year, Johannesburg based turnkey energy solutions company and certified installation partner, Hanonox (appointed by KAS Consulting), completed the 312 kWp solar project for major South African hardware manufacturer, Eureka DIY Solutions.

The initial project combined two systems – 92 kWp and 220 kWp – generated by innovative JA Solar modules and Huawei inverters. Hanonox recently upgraded the existing system to include additional 108 kWp and 44 kWp systems, powering the 35 000 m² factory in Roodepoort with a massive total of 464 kWp.
The switch to solar has more than halved the hardware company’s electricity bill and reduced their diesel fuel usage during power outages. “Increasingly South African businesses are recognizing the financial and environmental benefits of renewable energy. We are proud to be playing a key role in this growing industry,” says Nathan Bergemann, Director of Hanonox.
