Lubrication Engineers is now supplying its Monolec engine oils in 5l and 1l containers, making them more accessible to the domestic market.
Callum Ford, national marketing manager at LE South Africa, explains that the Monolec products have previously only been available in drums, putting them beyond the reach of many small businesses and individuals due to the price point and storage requirements.
“The Monolec product range was developed for the commercial market, but now smaller companies, fleets and individuals can access and enjoy the benefits it offers,” says Ford. “We have Monolec 8700, which provides excellent service for engines in mobile equipment and stationary generators. It’s designed to provide increased fuel efficiency, dependable performance and wear protection. We also offer Monolec 8800, which provides exceptional performance and extended-drain service for on- and off-road diesel engines, including stationary engines. It has been formulated to exceed API’s CK-4 technology standards focusing on engine wear protection, oxidation stability, shear stability, resistance to aeration, and compatibility with low emission engines.”
Monolec is a proprietary additive developed by Lubrication Engineers International to increase film strength while reducing friction, heat and wear, and to create a single molecular-lubricating film on metal surfaces without affecting clearances.
Ford says 8700 is designed to last 50 000 km before the oil needs changing, while 8800 will last an incredible 100 000 km. Both the 8700 and 8800 products are 15W40 grade and can be purchased directly from Lubrication Engineers.
