There is no pre-requisite to attend any of the AEE training programmes – all levels of knowledge are welcome as these training sessions are very educational. However, there is the option to gain and international qualification from AEE training which has eligibility requirements as below.
ELIGIBILITY FOR AEE CERTIFICATION
Depending on the discipline of Certification with AEE, a minimum of three years’ experience is required in addition to any pre-existing technical, architectural, built environment, renewable, etc qualification of at least 2 years. However, the more experience a candidate has, the less pre-existing qualifications are required with no qualifications necessary for 10 years or more experience in the related field. Once a candidate has been in full attendance at the training course presented by the sole approved training provider of the AEE, which in the Southern African region is the EnTF, the examination may be taken with the EnTF. A passmark of 70% for the examination will allow the candidate to apply for Certification through the EnTF’s AEE Certification Department.
Renewal of Certification is required every three years to maintain the distinguished title of being an AEE Certified Professional.
Training rates advertised include the training with the examination already, however, should you wish to only attend for interest sake enquire about our reduced rate for those who DO NOT want to write the examination, email Thieda at info@entf.co.za.
