TSX-listed Orezone Gold Corporation commenced trading on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) on August 8th at 11:00am AEST.
Patrick Downey, CEO stated, “The commencement of trading on the ASX marks an exciting milestone for the company. This secondary listing has already served to broaden our investor base into the very active Australian mining market, further enhancing the company’s capital markets profile and trading liquidity. The proceeds from the IPO that closed on August 6th now enables Orezone to accelerate the stage 2 hard rock expansion at Bomboré, which will increase the project’s overall production profile to 220,000-250,000 ounces per annum. This production growth will be complemented by an ongoing focus on exploration, with the goal of increasing the current stated 5 million ounce global resource base to a targeted 7 to 10 million ounces longer term.”
