SWAN Electric, and its subsidiary company Switch Technique, part of the internationally respected and multi-nationally present Mobicon Group, is pleased to confirm it has completed its first phase of a significant re-shuffle and re-alignment programme following the departure of some of its management team earlier this year.

This shuffle places SWAN Electric in a powerful position with capable, experienced and proven management taking the company to ever higher levels of operations across Southern Africa, and beyond. Mobicon Group, represented by highly revered CEO Manny Moutinho, is now pleased to make a statement of market intent with absolute confidence.
Steve Schwartz has been appointed as SWAN Electric General Manager, and while having a background in Electrical Engineering, he also comes with extensive local and international commercial experience in managing, leading, training and growing companies in several industrial/ commercial/media industries. With a career history of turning businesses around via innovative means, Schwartz makes a return to the electrical industry in SA, and together with newly appointed National Sales Manager, Stephen Cook, is re-aligning the company’s commercial footprint to the market’s requirements and serviceable needs. Cook is both technical and commercially skilled, comes with a successful career having worked locally and internationally in the electrical industry, and has led divisions, campaigns, teams and brands to commercial success. He is well placed to take SWAN Electric to new places.
An almost entirely new management team is in place right across SWAN Electric, which, with integrity, is ensuring that the company lives up to expectations of its clients. This is welcome news for a wide range of electrical companies, traders, wholesalers, panel builders, OEM’s, specifiers, and buyers in all electrical market sectors. An interesting operational strategy for wholesalers is currently being rolled out by SWAN Electric, making a difference for all its clients, and ensuring long-term relations are honoured. Sustainable business is paramount, and in a short time the new management team has already made significant progress in this regard, with its closest clients, new and old.
Having re-established strong alliances with key-suppliers of established and respected brands alongside its own well-established brands, SWAN Electric is also finding itself attracting new brands and new global players to its fold.
Subsidiary company Switch Technique, based in KwaZulu-Natal, remains largely unchanged with Managing Director Stevan Elion in attendance. That company’s brands and products are well known and distributed via SWAN Electric via branches and distributors across Southern Africa. Known for relentless pursuit of customer service, Elion remains a pillar of integrity and reliability for the entire group.
SWAN Electric has recently and rapidly addressed matters around its core operations, its reach, its product basket and its footprint in Southern Africa. Embarking upon Community Outreach Programmes, Student Development Programmes, internal and external training programmes as well as creating collaboration-partnerships via innovative and interesting ways which are somewhat novel in the industry, SWAN Electric is definitely a company currently on the move. It is destined to prosper and grow with great momentum and high integrity levels. With its new management team, SWAN Electric will be a part of Southern Africa’s LV electrical industry landscape for many interesting years to come.
