Critical digital infrastructure specialist Vertiv has acquired Waylay NV, a Belgium-based generative AI software company, as part of its continued investment in AI-driven monitoring and control technologies for power and cooling systems.
The acquisition, announced on 26 August, is designed to strengthen Vertiv's comprehensive portfolio of digital infrastructure solutions with AI-based infrastructure monitoring, predictive services, and performance optimisation capabilities.
Meeting growing AI demands
The move comes as AI workloads continue to drive strong growth in data centre demand, creating a need for intelligent, adaptive infrastructure. AI-based digital services for power and cooling systems have become essential to support the high-density, high-performance computing environments that power generative AI applications.
