Integrated Pump Technology has announced the launch of the Grindex Maxi H-Lite drainage pump. With its slim design and robust construction it is set to become the pump of first choice for site drainage applications all over the African continent, according to Colin Adams, managing director of Integrated Pump Technology.
“The pump is ideally suited for use in confined spaces and with its reduced weight, the Maxi H-Lite is expected to have a positive effect on operational, maintenance and life cycle costs,” Adams says.
As a world leader in electrical submersible pumps and an organisation constantly looking for ways to improve pumping efficiency and reliability, Grindex built on the performance successes of the popular Maxi pump during the product development phase of this new drainage pump.
The new Maxi H-Lite pump’s design is based on the well-proven hydraulics of the popular Maxi pump, and Adams says that improvements made to the pump will see end users benefitting significantly. “The new drainage pump, with its 25 kW motor, will fill the gap between the Matador (18 kW) and Maxi (37 kW) pumps, and this is most important for those customers who need this size of pump,” he says.
Reliable operation is, as always, one of the most important considerations when it comes to drainage applications, and taking cognisance of this the Maxi H-Lite pump is fitted with a redesigned and optimised top cover and new generation cable entry. This will ensure that the junction chamber remains free of water-ingress.
The hydraulic part features the same adjustment sleeve as used in Grindex’ Minex and Matador pump ranges and this facilitates re-adjustment of the impeller-suction-cover-clearance allowing performance to be regained after wear. Adams says this is a significant feature for customers assisting in keeping life cycle costs low.
The Maxi H-Lite is available with an open impeller, and this can be in either Hard Iron™ or in stainless steel.
