On 29 April, Kyalami saw the installation of the new pedestrian and vehicle access bridge.

Another kyalami milestoneWith a length of 34 m, leading from the upper car park to the second level of the Convention Centre and Pit Building, the partially built steel deck weighed 32 tons at time of hoisting. It will be supported 4,7 m above the ground on four concrete columns. The installation was managed by design engineer Danie Steyn.

Upon completion the bridge will feature a 3 m ceiling height and will be enclosed in glass. The 5,4 m width allows delivery vehicles access to the Convention Centre and ease pedestrian movement. Installation of the new replacement bridge serves as another milestone in the revival of the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit & International Convention Centre.
