VAN WETTENS WAS ESTABLISHED
by Anton van Wetten in 1967 and is in its fourth
decade of successful operation, evidence that the business has undoubtedly stood the test
of time.
Wim van Wetten, CEO of Van Wettens, is a man of many hats in the trucking industry. He is
a Director of the Road Freight Association of South Africa; is a member of the Towing and
Recovery Association of America and has been inducted into the Towing Hall of Fame, an
honour bestowed on individuals by their peers.
He says: “I am passionate about the industry and am fortunate to work with a team that
is equally so, if not more than me, not only about our business but our customers at large.
Although over the years we have had new innovations in terms of service and equipment,
to this day, we still run on the same basic principles laid down by my father. We do not
compromise on care, personal involvement, reliability and 24-hour service, seven days a week,
365 days a year.”
It goes without saying, that to weather the challenges of 46 years in business, a towing and
recovery company needs reliable and capable vehicles. Van Wettens runs a fleet of 55 heavy
