BMG’s energy efficient 200 kW load test rig has been developed
by the technical resources team in response to demand from local
industry for absolute reliability from new gearboxes. This load test
rig, which has the highest load capacity of any test rig in Southern
Africa, uses the latest technology to transmit and apply loads of up to

Theo Venter moved to Australia with his family at the end of 2005. He was enthusiastic about his
new job as a contractor working on a major electricity network, and a life full of prospects for himself
and his family. But a few months into the new year, he made a mistake … and a shocking 22 000 V
later... ‘just another day’ turned into the unthinkable! His life changed forever. Theo’s presentation is
frank, detailed and graphic – and if you employ workers who spend their time in high risk areas and
perform high risk tasks… Theo’s message is for you and your employees. He travels the world with
his story – his way of warning everyone to never, ever deviate from the rules.
