The DAP range of rugged tablets com-
bines form and functionality into a light-
weight, reliable, rugged platform. The units
are IP65 rated and can handle drops onto
concrete from up to 1,8 metres. Running
on Windows, with a highly sensitive,
sunlight readable touch screen display,
this unit has a range of port options and
removes the need for cumbersome, bulky
laptops when configuring or managing
remote devices at a site. They are on view

RUGGED TABLETS FOR USE ON SITE
CompactRIO systems consist of an embed-
ded controller for communication and
processing; a reconfigurable chassis housing
the user-programmable FPGA; hot-swap-
pable I/O modules; and graphical LabVIEW
software for rapid, real-time Windows and
FPGA programming. NI CompactRIO has a
variety of controllers, reconfigurable chassis
and hot-swappable C Series I/O modules
to give the flexibility required to go from
prototype to deployment while staying on
the same platform. The CompactRIO systems
are on exhibit at Stand B1.
