MINING
THERE TO SHOW
its new range of equipment at bauma Africa, will be Sany, one of China’s
biggest OEMs, currently rated Number Five construction manufacturer in the world, says
Paul Dougall, owner of Dougall Equipment – the sole South African distributor for the Sany
Construction and Mining range.
He is upbeat about what to expect at bauma as the OEM will have an imposing display of new
machines: “We have a line up of impressive equipment on display with a number of exciting
products in the pipeline,” he says with enthusiasm.
“We are in the process of conducting a number of tests in China, on a Sany track type tractor
– SYT86 – which, once completed, will boost our product range with a variety of models.”
In keeping with the move to improve emissions and comply with the international emissions
standards, Sany has developed an electrically-driven mining dump truck, the SET230. With a
payload of 230 000kg and a heaped capacity of 146m³,it comes with a Cummins QSK60-C2500
diesel engine, with the electric alternator, GE5GTA41 and the
traction motor, GE5GEB25 developed by General Electric.
Also to be seen at bauma, will be the recently launched Sany
SY700H hydraulic excavator. Weighing in at an impressive
72 000kg, it comes fitted with an Isuzu 6WGIXQA
turbo-charged diesel engine, developing 298kW
at 1800rpm and a maximum torque of 1530Nm
at 15rpm. The bucket ranges from three
to four cubed metres, depending on
application.
The line up of Sany machines at bauma
there will also include: the SRC550H rough
terrain crane; the SRT95 and SRT55 rigid dumpers
and the SMG200 motor grader.
With offices servicing the entire central and southern African
regions, Paul is confident that bauma will afford the OEM the perfect display window and
that Sany will be sure to leave its mark indelibly on the market.
