Atlas Copco South Africa participated in ‘take a girl child to work’ on 29
th
May 2014.
“We invited employees to bring their girls, aged between 15 and 18 years (from
grades 10 to 12) to work for a day. Thirteen eager young ladies reported to the Atlas
Copco reception desk in themorning. The programme, prepared by a trained psychol-
ogist, included career guidance, knowing yourself, a fun activity and job shadowing.
The company also has plans for assisting boys needing career guidance and advice.
