PHILIPS Lighting Solutions welcomes Mayuri
Naidoo to the team. Naidoo completed her Masters
in Business Administration (MBA) degree and her
technical education resides in a Chemical Engineer-
ing Diploma with experience in the Petrochemical,
Polymer and Plastics Industry.
Naidoo’s new role will be the business develop-
ment manager for turnkey projects and solutions at
Philips Lighting South Africa. Turnkey projects and
services (TP&S) is the business of Philips Lighting for
large projects; value added services; and partner-
shipmodels. It is the mission of the manager TP&S
Southern Africa to develop this business for the
related organisation. The role is in a start-up environ-
ment and will evolve over time. Naidoo will drive for
substantial profitable growth within the selected
segments as well as implement and drive the related
business plans for Southern Africa.

BEKA Schréder’s LEDlume-midi 117W streetlight luminaires provide
the lighting for themain street of Naledi (formerly known as Vryburg)
in the NorthWest Province. Market Street is one of the busiest routes
en route
to the Northern Cape’s N14 highway. In order to comply with
SANS standards and provide an energy saving solution, BEKA Schréder
was awarded the contract to replace the existing 250WHPS luminaires
with the LEDlume-midi 117WLED luminaires explains Beka’s Leon
Dekker.
“The BEKA LEDlume-midi was chosen for its ability tomaintain the
correct lighting level and for its modern aesthetical appearance,”he
says.
“The BEKA LEDlume-midi is designed andmanufactured in South
Africa, taking Africa’s environments and conditions into account. This is

and CFL streetlight luminaires.

THE Tridonic Company, the Zumtobel Group’s

increased its stake in its South African sales subsidi-
ary from 49.99% to 100%.
The outstanding shares were acquired from the
former joint venture partner, Power Technologies,
with retroactive effect to
1 January 2014. Tridonic’s South African sales com-
pany is based in Johannesburg, has a branch office
in Cape Town and currently employs 15 people.
