Weir Minerals Africa has expanded its commi-
nution portfolio focused on the mining, sand
and aggregate markets with the introduction
of its new Enduron
®
line of equipment, includ-
ing crushers, screens and feeders.
“These new products are proven perform-
ers in heavy duty crushing applications,”
says Winchester Maphosa, Weir Minerals
Africa’s Product Manager for comminution
products and screens. “Enduron crushers
are characterised by a unique and ingenious
design easily combining lightweight, com-
pact and robust frames to achieve durability,
lower Total Cost of Ownership (TOC) and a
better overall performance than other exist-
ing models.

Available from Sandvik Mining & Construc-
tion is the RH460, a new series of DTH ham-
mers. The RH 460 design concept
is claimed to take stan-
dards to a new level,
providing higher impact
energy and drill perfor-
mance while maximising
productivity in almost all ground conditions.
The new series is designed to reduce costs
in drilling and has the ability to perform its re-
quired functions under stated conditions for
a specified period of time.
Through an enhanced air cycle, the RH
460 will reduce fuel costs, says Sandvik.
The power level increases
productivity through better lubri-
cation capabilities, improvements in resis-
tance against galling and developments in
the piston bearing design. Put quite simply,
piston and hammer life will be dramatically
increased, claims the company.
The new RH460 family will be launched
with the release of the 4”, 5” and 6” hammers.
All versions are designed to utilise bits with
generic shank types.

“The Enduron SP series cone crushers
range from 100 hp to 400 hp and we’re al-
ready designing the next generation of larger
crushers for future applications,” he contin-
ues. “The jaw crushers start from the model
MS2416H, with a 0,6 m by 0,4 m open feed
size, to our current largest MS6048H model,
with a 1,5 m by 1,2 m open feed size.
“The addition of this equipment enables us
to offer KHD® High Pressure Grinding Roll
(HPGR) equipment in conjunction with the
Enduron range of vibrating screens, feeders
and crushers, providing cost effective com-
minution packages.”
