At the end of 2019, Babcock Africa reached a momentous safety milestone when it recorded a zero disabling injury incident rate (DIIR) across all its business units. This is a first in Babcock’s 125-year history and equates to just under six million hours worked over the last 12 months without a lost time injury. 

Entries in the 6th International LafargeHolcim Awards for Sustainable Construction will close on 25 February 2020. The competition seeks projects by professionals as well as bold ideas from the Next Generation that combine sustainable construction solutions with architectural excellence. The Awards foreground projects and concepts from architecture, engineering, urban planning, materials science, construction technology, and related fields.

Consulting Engineers South Africa’s (CESA) 66th Annual General Meeting held in Johannesburg on Wednesday the 25th November, Sugen Pillay from Zitholele Consulting was inaugurated as President of the organisation for the next two years, succeeding Neresh Pather. He accepted the position stating, “It is certainly an honour and a privilege to serve in this position”.
