X-TECH STONEFLOW
DECORATIVE SCREED
TAL X-Calibur is introducing a
newly developed industrial grade,
rapid-setting and self-smoothing
decorative screed called X-Tech StoneFlow.
Polished, decorative and seamless
concrete floor solutions are in high demand,
however Terrazzo floors can take up to 28
days to cure before grinding and polishing
can commence. TAL X-Calibur joined forces
with Rock Solid Flooring and HTC polishers
to develop and introduce a revolutionary
new flooring system throughout South
Africa. HTC polishers are marketed through
Superb Flooring Systems, which is part of
the PMSA Group.
X-Tech StoneFlow is a cement based
rapid-setting, self-smoothing, shrinkage
compensated and heavy duty decorative
industrial screeding compound available in
varying combinations of base colours and
aggregate finishes.
The product allows specifiers and
designers to create a custom floor as they
can select the specific background colour

CUBICLE CONTRACT
Vitrex has completed another major Igoda Coal (Sasol Mining)
contract for its Vitraflex modular cloakroom cubicles.
– fitted with telescopic leg anchors – were
supplied in ‘Graphite Grey’ as specified by Leon
Venter Architects. The cubicles feature Vitrex’s
special stainless steel telescopic anchors,
provided for ease of installation, an important
consideration for such a large contract.
The anchors also eliminate conspicuous
floor mountings, facilitate ease of cleaning,
and improve hygiene through the reduction
of bacterial growth at the base of the stiles.
Andrew Mentis produces the Die-Line range of positive grip
pressed section walkways, similar to the walkways that have been
in general use in Europe for many years. The Die-Line range of
flooring channels, walkways and mats is ideally suited for all walking and
working surfaces where mud, water, grease, oil and detergents create
slippery or hazardous conditions.
The Die-Line products have clean open sections with no welding or
butting surfaces to trap corrosive elements. This makes them ideal for
use in applications where chemicals or saltwater are present.
Transverse loading is transferred to the integrated kick flats (toe
boards) which are provided with two slotted holes at each end and
positioned around the neutral axis. Pressed angle splice plates fit on the
outside and into the returned top edges. M10 bolts and nuts are provided
for easy installation. The sections are designed for longitudinal span,
obviating unnecessary steel support and heavy kick plates, both factors
contributing greatly to enhanced cost effectiveness.
The mesh pattern of the Mentis Die-Line range provides excellent
non-slip characteristics.
