CRUSHING, SCREENING AND RECLAMATION
Brandberg Construction recently took delivery of Pilot Modular DD3615
semi-mobile heavy duty screen and Pilot Modular GHF560 feeder.
The Bosch range of GDE dust extraction
systems have been designed specif-
ically for drilling and chiselling tools.
Bosch Industrial Power Tools SA senior brand
manager Craig Berridge notes that the new
GDE dust extraction systems are lightweight,
yet robust, and are easy to assembly.
“The GDE dust extraction systems are easy-
to-use and add little or no extra weight to the
machine. These systems allow for a virtually
dust-free work environment. All drilling
debris and dust are extracted from the source
meaning that there is not the hassle of having
to clean up after work is complete,” he says.
The GDE 68 and GDE 162 Professional dust
extractors have been designed for drilling
power tools. “The GDE 68 offers the user low
dust levels when drilling with core cutters
up to 68 mm, and the GDE 162 is suitable for
core cutters up to 162 mm. They are compat-
ible with all conventional rotary hammers,
diamond drills and impact drills.”
These dust extractors work on a
two-chamber system. Berridge explains:
“One of the chambers collects the dust while
drilling, and the other chamber connects to
the wet/dry extractor to create a vacuum in
order to create a suction to keep the extractor
attached to the wall.”
The GDE max Professional offers the user
virtually dust-free chiselling. It is suitable
for most SDS-max rotary and demolition
hammers available in the Bosch range.
“The GDE max is easily fitted onto the tool
TAKING THE CONVENIENT ROUTE
Brandberg Construction in Windhoek, Namibia,
recently extended its sand washing plant with
machinery supplied by South African company Pilot
Crushtec International.
The products supplied include a Pilot Modular DD3615
semi-mobile heavy-duty screen and a Pilot Modular GHF560
feeder. Both are suitable for a wide variety of applications,
including quarrying, mining and infrastructure – all crucial
elements in the continent’s current scenario.
Africa sales manager for Pilot Crushtec International
Wayne Warren explains that Brandberg Construction’s
decision to buy the equipment was based on a number
of persuasive factors which, added together, equal conve-
nience. “Firstly, all Pilot Modular products are designed to fit
easily into existing plant. Secondly, we believe in availability
and keep strategic stocks of products in our Pilot Modular
range. Most important of all, we provide full installation and
maintenance backing.”

NEW DUST EXTRACTION SYSTEM
The South African division of Bosch Power Tools has launched a
new range of GDE dust extraction systems, which ensures a cleaner
and healthier work environment for trade professionals.
using a quick-action clamp, and can be
adjusted to suite different working positions
and tools. An added benefit of the GDE max
Professional is that is does not need to be
removed when changing the drill bit.”
According to Berridge, the GDE 16 Plus
Professional has been designed for use with
SDS-plus hammers ranging from 2 to 3 kg,
which feature a 50 mm collar. “A quick-
clamping lever allows the auxiliary handle and
telescopic guide of this extraction system to be
easily adapted to different drill bit lengths. The
GDE 16 Plus can be connected to all conven-
tional dust extractors, and the extraction
connection is movable to ensure that the hose
does not interfere with the work process.”
Berridge believes that the range of GDE dust
extraction systems are ideal for all professional
tradespeople. “All of the GDE dust extraction
systems are compatible with the Bosch ‘Click
and Clean System’. They ensure a healthier
work environment and protect your tools
against damage caused by dust. Work is more
efficient and more precise,” he concludes.
