EQUIPMENT
So says SDLG general manager
Grant Sheppard, who attributes the
successes of the past year to the
quality of the equipment a growing presence
in the local market and Babcock’s aftersales
support. Babcock is the exclusive distributor
of SDLG construction machinery, charac-
terised by its practicality, cost effectiveness
and fit-for-purpose design, in the Southern
African region.
“Our concerted efforts to date have
succeeded in positioning SDLG as a value
brand supplied by a blue chip Swedish OEM
and backed by Babcock, a FTSE 100-listed
UK company. In the next 12 months year we
intend to keep this momentum going with
the rapid expansion of our footprint, in terms
of both sales and aftersales.
“Another driver for us is ensuring that we
provide the best value product on the market.
We are doing this by maintaining constant
communications with our OEM to ensure that
new equipment coming into this region has
been specified to suit local conditions. This
means we will continue to receive purpose
built machines that have been designed to be
relevant to our local market segments. New
SDLG products will introduced throughout
2014, effectively expanding our offering into
a very demanding market.”
Sheppard adds that SDLG equipment
specialists are being deployed across all major
centres of the region.
