has introduced proprietary Concurrent Dual-
Radio Technology for zero wireless packet loss
in industrial WLAN applications. Designed with two
independent RF modules to simultaneously transmit
duplicate packets via two distinct channels can eliminate
packet loss when wireless interference occurs. Moxa’s
AWK-5222 and AWK-6222 series industrial wireless AP/
bridge/ client devices feature Concurrent Dual-Radio
Technology to achieve zero packet loss transmissions
to provide safe and reliable communication for latency-
sensitive applications.
Wireless interference can interrupt data transmission
and cause packet loss when transmitting with single-RF
devices. To reduce packet loss, many advanced wireless
technologies provide dual-RF devices with mechanisms
to effectively detect interference and automatically
switch bands to restore communication. However, this
type of redundancy has limitations and can still experi-
ence packet loss when switching between channels.
Moxa’s Concurrent Dual-RadioTechnology is designed
to transmit duplicate packets simultaneously on two
different bands (2.4 G and 5 G). When interference in-
terrupts packet transmission on one band, concurrent
transmission via the other band eliminates packet loss
to ensure maximum data throughput. For safety-critical
applications with zero latency tolerance, Moxa’s concur-
rent dual-radio transmission with interference immunity
is what operators need to ensure real-time performance.

T
here has been a break¬through in Power
over Ethernet (PoE) technology. A third
party organisation, Delta, recently certified
the Schneider ElectricActassi S-One connec-
tor, as being fully compliant with the PoE+
standards (IEEE802.3at).
PoE+ allows transport of up to 30W, where
the former PoE standard was limited to 15W.
This opens new perspectives to drive more
power-demanding devices like motorised
cameras, access control devices or even
low consumption screens. This certificate

leadership
in PoE technology. Actassi S-One connector
ensures unaffected performances even when
discon¬necting the power cord. Power over
Ethernet (PoE) enables power supply for
devices such as IP phone, or Pelco IP camera
through Ethernet cable, thereby making joint
communication and energy supply possible.
Benefits of using PoE:
• In office buildings: possibility to pilot
devices to switch them on and off – as
it is done now for lights – thus making
significant energy savings.
• By centralising power supply, additional
savings can be made.
• PoE brings flexibility to deploy or re-
deploy since only one cable is needed.
• With PoE, power is supplied through
continuous voltages (48 V).
• It eliminates risk of electrical shocks and
protects people.
“Thanks to this technological break-
through, Schneider Electric demonstrates its
leading position in the PoE area which allows
smart combina¬tion of communication net-
work infrastructure with energymanagement
technology.” Said Xavier Renard, building
market offer manager at Schneider Electric.

has introduced the APC NetShelter SV, an af-
fordable rack solution with industry proven design and seamless
integration of essential rack accessories. The NetShelter SV is offered
in multiple heights, widths and depths to meet the challenges that
businesses face in their IT environments.
TheAPC NetShelter SV is optimised for basic enclosure applications
such as typical small and medium business IT needs and co-location
cage environments. Features of the NetShelter SV include:
• Seamless integration with rack PDU and cable management
systems including tool-less installation of vertical rack PDUs
and cable management in the rear of the cabinet which does
not take up any of the costly U-space. Vertical mounting rails are
fully adjustable, making the cabinet adaptable to many typical IT
applications.
• Compatibility guaranteed with vendor neutral rear accessory
mounting brackets which are compatible with all EIA-310 compli-
ant 19 inch equipment.
• Available in various widths and depths tomeet any specific equip-
ment requirements.
• Design includes cable access roof, removable side panels and
pre-installed levelling feet and casters.
The NetShelter SV joins the complete family of racks and enclosures
available from Schneider Electric. These solutions allow IT deploy-
ment wherever and whenever it is needed, saving space, cost and
deployment in both IT and non-IT dedicated spaces. For small IT
environments Schneider Electric’s Small IT Solutions Designer allows
custom configuration and solution design for edge environments like
network closets and server rooms.
