Levelflex FMP57 is the sensor for the highest demands in bulk
solids and best suited for measurements in high silos, bunkers or
stockpiles. Providing rope probes up to a length of 45m, FMP57 is also
suited to measurements in high bulk solids silos.
The Levelflex is a 'downward-looking' measuring system that functions
according to theToF method (ToF =Time of Flight). The distance from the
reference point to the product surface is measured. High-frequency pulses
are injected to a probe and led along the probe. The pulses are reflected
by the product surface, received by the electronic evaluation unit and
converted into level information. This method is also known as TDR (Time
Domain Reflectometry).
The Levelflex FMP57 uses the innovative and intelligent HistoROM data
management concept and the Multi-Echo Tracking system for more reliable
echo evaluation by the echo signal curve.
HistoROM
: for data back-up for instrument settings and measured values,
HistoROM stores the parameters of an instrument during commissioning. If
similar measuring points are commissioned, the display serves as a data carrier
like a USB stick. After commissioning of the instrument, the final parameter set-
tings can be transferred from HistoROM to the display memory. In this way, the
display serves as a HistoROM back-up. If parameters are accidentally or inten-
tionally set at the display during operation, this data is automatically changed in
HistoROM. If, subsequently, the original status is to be recovered, the settings
stored in the display may be transferred to HistoROM via the ‘Restore’ function.
If electronics are defective, they are replaced by new electronics. HistoROM
has stored all parameter settings and transfers the data automatically to the
electronics and the instrument restarts automatically.
Multi-echo tracking:
Reliablemeasurement through self-learning echo-search
algorithms taking into account the short-term and long-term history in order
to check the found echoes for plausibility and to suppress interference echoes.

The O6 wetline photoelectric sensors from ifm
electronic feature high performance and noise-
immune background suppression. Even highly
reflective backgrounds, such as stainless steel,
do not affect the background suppression.The
sensing range is independent of the type and
colour of the object to be detected. A special
feature is the automatic sensitivity adjustment
which guarantees safe functioning even
in case of vapour, smoke and strongly
reflective environments. The clearly
defined round light spot in the operating
area provides consistent light intensity
in the light cone. Scattered light around
the light spot that could disturb other
sensors by reflections is avoided, guar-
anteeing additional safety.
Compact in design, the O6diffuse
reflection sensor is perfectly sealed as
the two setting potentiometers have a
double sealing. Front lens and potenti-
ometer are plain allowing residue-free
cleaning. The stainless steel housing
provides high IP 68/IP 69 K protection
rating. The transparent black housing cover
provides good contrast for the integrated LEDs
(operating state, switch point) so that they are
clearly visible even in bright environments.
The coated front lens consists of resistant,
splinter-free plastic.
