THE Brother P-touch laminated labelling solutions
for office, industry and home were designed with
the specific requirements of users inmind says Dale
de Villiers, sales andmarketingmanager at Brother.
“We’ve thought about exactly when, where and
how our labels would be needed and put them
through a series of rigorous tests,”he explains,
adding“this means that – even when the labels are
exposed to heavy abrasion, heat, cold, sunshine,
water or chemicals – our labels have been designed
to last.”
He describes why Brother P-touch laminated
labels last longer:“Unlike ordinary labels, our unique
laminated tape technology ensures that a layer of
super-clear polyethylene laminate protects the text.
“Brother P-touch laminatedTZe tapes consist of
six layers of materials – and this results in a thin but
extremely strong label. Characters are formed with
a thermal transfer ink and are sandwiched between
two protective layers of PET (polyester film).
“The result is a virtually indestructible label that
can withstand even the harshest conditions,”
says De Villiers.
“In fact, we are sure about the durability of our la-
bels because they have been tested to the extreme.
They are manufactured to withstand the effects of
abrasion, temperature, chemicals and sunlight,”he
says, adding,“test results prove that Brother P-touch
laminated labels outperformmany competitor
labels and remain legible and affixed”.
“Our patented lamination provides an extra
protective overcoat and users of Brother labels are
assured of a professional quality label that has been
designed to last.”
UL Certification
De Villiers says a number of the Brother TZe tapes
have been tested by Underwriters Laboratories, a
renowned independent testing laboratory.
“Our tapes passed their rigorous safety standards
and gained UL certification,”he says.
