THE SDS plus-5 drill bit fromBosch enables
efficient work without annoying stalling
and stopping – and it is compatible with the
Bosch range of 2 to 4kg rotary hammers.
“With the new hammer drill bit SDS plus-5,
Bosch has gone to great lengths to prove
its power of innovation andmanufacturer

“While drilling in concrete, the conven-
tional SDS plus drill bits often stall or even
stop completely because of inefficient dust
extraction, slowing down the drilling proc-
ess andwasting time and energy. This high-
performance drill bit enables professionals
to work efficiently and effectively, thanks to
the new features of the new SDS plus-5 drill
bit,”he explains.
The Bosch SDS Plus-5 hammer drill bit has
an ActiveteQ centring tip, which gives opti-
mumguidance and grinds concrete into fine
dust when drilling. It has two cutters and it is
brazed and hardened to increase robustness
and reduce vibration during drilling.
Mhodi says the carbide relief grooves
with special V-shape design allow fine dust
to be rapidly transported into the flute and
prevent clogging at the base of the bit.
“The four-flute turbo designed flute
removes dust fast and prevents stalling and
unnecessary dust explosion. The visibility
of wear indicates that the diameter is still in
tolerance for metal anchor setting,”he says,
noting that diameters ≤ 10mmall have the
ActiveteQ centring tip.
These new features were incorporated
into the development of the new SDS plus-5
drill bit, which has resulted in a drill bit that
provides a 6% longer lifetime than its pred-
ecessor, the S4L series.
The SDS plus-5 drill bit range fromBosch is
now available at selected retail outlets. The
diameters available are from3.5 to 26mm
and they come in lengths of 50 to 400mm.

ed froma waterproof (IP68) standardwith
a durable high-grade pressure die-cast alu-

This low voltage LED floodlight has no
trailing cables so it can be used in confined
spaces. Lowbatter voltage is indicated by
visual and audible warnings and it comes
with an electronic intelligent charger and LED
status indication.

and it is completely serviceable and all parts
are replaceable.
The finish is in red or yellowpowder coat,
however, other colours can be especially
