Africa Mercy repairs

The Africa Mercy, the world’s largest non-governmental floating hospital, has returned to service after undergoing essential repairs at the Port of Durban, with the help of a 150-ton All Terrain crane supplied by Concord Cranes.

Operated by Mercy Ships, the vessel delivers free, life-changing surgeries to communities across Africa, including paediatric orthopaedics, maxillofacial procedures, and eye operations.

Lualan Reddy at Concord Cranes said supporting the repairs with precision lifting capabilities played a small but vital role in getting the ship back on course to continue its mission of hope and healing.
